Welcome to the OXUS Group

The OXUS Group was created by ACTED in July 2005 with the aim to fight poverty through the provision of microfinance services to the working poor. The OXUS Group is one of ACTED’s microfinance activities including OCTOPUS , Babyloan , Convergences 2015 and South Asian Microfinance Network (SAMN).

The OXUS group is committed to protecting and improving the lives of its clients while achieving solid financial results. Its 500 staff members worldwide are proud to offer adapted and socially oriented financial services to populations who are often excluded from the traditional banking system. In just six years, OXUS microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have disbursed nearly 125,000 loans amounting to US $ 84.3 million.

OXUS Development Network, the Group’s consulting company, strives to provide OXUS MFIs and others with technical assistance, while maintaining the Group’s dynamism and developing it with the launch of new MFIs in Uzbekistan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
